Guidelines for Calculating Academic Index
1. Candidates Basic Qualifying Examination marks [Plus two/Degree] will be converted to 30. For example: [450/600*30= 22.5).
2. Similarly, the teaching qualification marks [TTC/ B. Ed] will be converted to 10. For example 450/600*10 = 7.5).
3. For Additional Qualifications, a maximum of 5 marks as shown in the “Nayarekha”
4. Teaching Experience means a period not less than a year, i.e., 200 days or not less then 10 months, One mark for one academic year. A maximum of 5 marks
5. For Extra curricular activities, certificates of State and National levels alone are considered. State level 1 mark, national level 2 marks. A maximum of 3 Marks
6. Certificate of Computer Knowledge from a recognized Institute for period not less than 6 months. A maximum of 2 Marks.
7. Catechism Certificate issued from Diocesan authority for SSLC and Plus Two Catechism Examinations. Candidates who have studied prior to the issue of Diocesan Catechism Certificate should produce an authentic certificate issued by the Parish Priest and signed by the Catechism Headmaster for claiming marks for catechism. A maximum of 2 Marks,
8. For Catechism Teacher, a certificate of teaching catechism from the Parish Priest countersigned by the Catechism H M and Forane Catechism Coordinator. A maximum of 1 Mark.
9. Certificate of Services rendered in the Parish,/ Forane, not less than of two years and duly issued by Parish Secretary and respective Convener and counter signed by the Parish priest. .A maximum of 2 Marks.
