Media Commission Meeting

July 7, 2009 at the Archbishop's house at 5 pm.

The Suggestions:-

• To popularize Jeevanum Velichavum Magazine.
•  Warm relationship with Catholic journals and journalists.
• Creation of media waves and internet blogs.
• Grabbing the broadcasting space in the radio.
• DVD and Video Production of our ministry materials to be shown in different parishes.
• Creation of a Community Radio.
• Creation of Media retreats.
• Building up of a very warm and creative relationship with the media persons and their gathering at least once in a year.
• Importance of music.
• We need to create a media culture among our students.
• Creation of Reading Clubs, Conducting of literary camps etc.
• Promote for journalism courses.
• 'Jeevanum Velichavum' to the people.
• Media should reach to the service at the parish level to solve the basic problems of the parishes.
• Creation of an internal Journal.
• During the church feast, some Christian episodes should be displayed thought out for the benefit of the onlookers around the church premises.
• Create a multimedia catechetical programme for the whole year.

Proposals to be considered immediately

• Appoint a PRO
• Support Team for PRO.
• Create a Media room and office with News papers, Journals, Internet, Television etc.
• Gather urgently the names and telephone numbers of the important persons in various media.
• Resource Bank of media personnels in the Community.
• Convene the Meeting of this advisory committee every month.
