St Xavier’s Institute of Excellence
(A joint venture of TSSS, Latin Archdiocese, Trivandrum and CORE Institute, Vellayambalam)
This Institute is a joint venture of T.S.S.S, Latin Archdiocese of Trivandrum and CORE Institute Vellayambalam. It was inaugurated on 25th January 2010. The Institute gives special thrust to the over all development of the candidates of the Latin Catholic community by providing fee concessions and scholarships to the deserving candidates. The Institute is located at Palayam Junction, adjacent to the famous St. Joseph’s Cathedral, which attracts exceptional attention of the general public.
OBJECTIVES
A. Long Term Objectives:
- Upliftment of the poor and efficient candidates of the society by obtaining good jobs, professional skills and high moral standards.
- To help in the psychological growth and development.
B. Short Term Objectives:
- Help in the enhancement of personal qualities to build up a successful career.
- Overall personality development of students by imparting knowledge, skill & positive attitude.
- Special instruction programmes for the diffident & backward.
- Activities aimed at grooming pleasing personality
- To provide proper training in English language to empower shy learners to participate in public speeches and discussions.
- Teach the techniques of facing interviews.

- Foundation Course for Mathematics, Science & English (Separate batches for 8,9,10,11,12 classes)
- Medical/Engineering Entrance Foundation Course, Crash Programme, Long Term.
- Degree Level Training Courses for Competitive Exams (Degree Going/Completed students)
- Plus II Level Training Courses for Competitive Exams (X Completed or Plus II Going students)
- Training for Competitive Exams like Civil Service Examinations for IAS, IPS, IFS, etc and for examinations conducted by KPSC, UPSC, SSC, RRB and BSRB.
ACHIEVEMENTS
- Service of eminent faculty is ensured.
- With in one month courses like Banking, Spoken English, Personality Development etc were started with good student participation.
