St Xavier’s Vocational Training Centers

St. Xavier’s ITC, St. Xavier’s Institute of Technology, St. Xavier’s Driving School

School are established  to train and empower the youth and to make them capable of  doing some technical job and there by help them to find sustainable livelyhood. St. Xavier’s Industrial training center (St Xavier’s ITC) was established in 1994. Other two are in 2003 and 2005 respectively. The institutions are situated in Valiyathura, eastern side of the Trivandrum International Airport.

 

Following courses are been conducted in St. Xavier’s ITC, which are recognized by the government of India having affiliation with National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT)

i)        Draughtsman Civil (2years course)

ii)      Electric Mechanic(2years)

iii)    Plumber (1 year course)

Training is given as per the syllabus approved by Govt: of India and the examination is conducted by NCVT according to the time table prescribed by them for the all India Trade Test held in every July and January every year all over India. National Trade Certificates are issued to the passed out trainees.

St Xavier’s Institute of Technology was established in 2003. The following courses are being conducted at St. XIT on which practical and theoretical trainings are imparted to equip the students with knowledge and skill in the above courses and assisting to locate placement for the successful candidates.

  • X-Ray Welding (6Months “AWS” Certificate Course)
  • Fire Engineering and Safety (1 Year Diploma Course)
  • Skilled Plumber (3 Months )
  • Wireman Licence (10 Months)
  • Civil Engineering (3 Months)
  • Total Station (Modern Survey) (2 months)
  • Pipe Fabrication (6 months course)

It holds the educational institution membership of American Welding Society (AWS) USA and authorized to use “AWS” logo in certificates of the welding courses. Annex of this centre is situated at Vanross junction TVM.

Institute also has company membership of our institute of Fire Engineers (India) and approval of The Govt. of Kerala extends for the conduct of one year diploma course in Fire Engineering and Safety.

The Motor Driving School was started in 2005 as per the licence No.T/15/2005. Driving classes for four wheeler and two wheeler vehicles are conducted successfully.

    • Ø Registration as Vocational Training Provider (VTP) of Regional Directorate of                                            Apprenticeship trainee Chennai, Under Govt: of India.

A new diocese of Neyyattinkara was bifurcated from Trivandrum on 14 June, 1996, by His Holiness Pope John Paul II through the Apostolic Bull 'Ad Aptius Provehendum.' Trivandrum was raised to the status of Archdiocese on 17 June 2004 by His Holiness Pope John Paul II. The dioceses of Quilon, Alleppey, Neyyattinkara and Punaloor are in the Trivandrum Province
