Jubilee Hospital, Palayam - Inauguration of Dialysis Centre
Dialysis is a process for removing waste and excess water from the blood and is primarily used to provide an artificial replacement for lost kidney function in people with renal failure. For most of the dialysis patients it is a life long process once they have developed kidney failure, their whole income has to be set apart for their treatment. Realizing the gravity of this problem there are many associations sponsoring poor patients for dialysis. Jubilee Memorial hospital was started as a monument of the Golden Jubilee celebration of the Archdiocese of Trivandrum, in 1987. Now, as the Archdiocese celebrates its Platinum Jubilee, Jubilee Hospital ties up with DM foundation to establish a Dialysis center with 10 dialysis machine to help patients with renal failure. A dialysis costs Rs.750 minimum and some places it is charged even to Rs1500. Jubilee hospital is doing dialysis for Rs.750 only. 25% patients will be given further discount and 25% patients will be given free dialysis if they are found deserving. Hospital will be very grateful if any good heart is willing to sponsor any number of dialysis.
This will be blessed by Archbishop Soosa Pakiam and Inuagurated by Sri. Adoor Prakash, Honble Minister for Health at 5.pm Wednesday 27 July 2011.
